about

Lifolf -This first piece explores the conflict in the mind of the killer. It starts as a solitary figure, soul searching having been ordered to carry out this most awful deed. This first theme is then further explored by question and answer approach with the original theme returning - the turmoil going through the killers mind.

The Whinny Road - The first strathspey - a sense of purpose. A job to be done, the literal and emotional journey along the ‘Whinny Road’ to slay Magnus.

The Evening Star - This second strathspey, which is more uplifting signifies Magus’s martyrdom - ‘With the evening star, the soul began its singing’ - but inevitably the melody returns to the journey taken, the deed.
